On behalf of the committee, I am pleased to invite you to attend the 6th Annual Conference of Indonesian Regional Science Association (IRSA) to be hosted by the Center of Economic and Public Policy Studies (CEPPS) Gadjah Mada University, Jogyakarta, Indonesia from August 13 to 14, 2004.

The Conference will bring together practising regional economists from a diverse range of backgrounds including academia, business and government sector, with the aim of stimulating discussion of contemporary regional economic issues.

The program will consist of plenary, invited and contributed sessions focusing on a wide range of theoretical and applied regional economic issues including regional policy design, regional economic development, governance, public services, and eco-tourism.

Jogjakarta, the campus city with diverse students coming from around Indonesia and the neighbouring countries will ensure you a fruitful environment for discussion and sharing experience. Last but not least, a city which rich with traditional heritage and beautiful scene will guarantee you a relieve with fresh atmosphere after the conference.
